Pierre Gasly

Pierre Jean-Jacques Gasly (7 February 1996 - Present): French racing driver born in Rouen, currently competing in Formula 1 for Alpine. Born into a motorsport family with father a former rally driver, grandfather and grandmother both karters (grandmother a champion). Won the 2013 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and 2016 GP2 Series championship with PREMA Racing. Made F1 debut with Toro Rosso in 2017, promoted to Red Bull for 2019 but demoted mid-season after the Hungarian Grand Prix, replaced by Alexander Albon.

Achieved maiden F1 victory at the 2020 Italian Grand Prix with AlphaTauri, becoming the first French GP winner in 24 years. Secured maiden podium at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix and third podium at the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Joined Alpine in 2023, scoring a podium at the Dutch Grand Prix. As of November 2025, has one win, three fastest laps, and five podiums. Contracted to Alpine until at least the end of 2028.
