Biography

Yuki Tsunoda (11 May 2000 - Present): Born in Sagamihara, Kanagawa and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Yuki Tsunoda is a Japanese racing driver who competes in Formula One for Red Bull Racing. Supported by Honda since 2016 through the Honda Formula Dream Project, Tsunoda won the JAF Japan F4 East Series in 2017 and the F4 Japanese Championship in 2018. He joined the Red Bull Junior Team in 2019 and finished third in his rookie FIA Formula 2 season in 2020 with Carlin. Tsunoda debuted in F1 for AlphaTauri in 2021, becoming the first Japanese driver in F1 since Kamui Kobayashi in 2014.

He finished a career-best fourth at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and scored points with a ninth-place finish on his debut in Bahrain. He remained at AlphaTauri through 2023, partnering Pierre Gasly, Nyck de Vries, and Daniel Ricciardo. In 2024, Tsunoda made significant progress with the re-branded Racing Bulls, scoring points nine times and finishing inside the top seven in Australia, Miami, and Sao Paulo. He was promoted to Red Bull Racing for the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix onwards.
