
Franco Colapinto (27 May 2003 - Present): Born in Pilar, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Franco Alejandro Colapinto is an Argentine racing driver of Italian and Ukrainian descent who competes in Formula One for Alpine. Holding dual Argentine and Italian citizenship, Colapinto won the Argentine Championship in the Pre-Junior class (2016) and Sudam class (2018), as well as the Buenos Aires Regional Championship in Pre-Junior (2016) and Junior (2017). With ten poles, 11 wins, and 13 podiums, he clinched the 2019 F4 Spanish Championship, nearly 100 points ahead of his nearest rival. He placed third in the 2020 Formula Renault Eurocup with 213.
5 points, achieving multiple race wins and nine podiums. A pair of feature race wins in the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship saw him finish fourth in the standings. Colapinto made his Formula One debut with Williams at the 2024 Italian Grand Prix, replacing Logan Sargeant for the remainder of the 2024 season, becoming the first Argentine driver to compete in F1 since Gaston Mazzacane in 2001. He scored his maiden points finish at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and repeated this feat in the United States, finishing nineteenth in the standings with five championship points across nine Grands Prix.
He joined Alpine as a reserve driver for 2025 and was promoted after six races to replace Jack Doohan.
