Yves Giraud-Cabantous (October 8, 1904 - March 30, 1973): A French racing driver from the 14th arrondissement of Paris, Giraud-Cabantous competed in the early years of the Formula One World Championship. He participated in 13 Grands Prix between 1950 and 1953, predominantly driving Talbot-Lago cars. Though he never achieved a podium finish, his best result was fourth place at the 1950 Belgian Grand Prix. Giraud-Cabantous was one of the privateer racers who formed the backbone of the early F1 grids, often competing with limited resources against better-funded factory teams.
Beyond Formula One, he was active in French national racing and various non-championship events throughout Europe. His career represented the gentleman racer tradition common in early European motorsport, combining passion for racing with business pursuits.
