Biography

Jarno Trulli (13 July 1974 - Present): Italian racing driver born in Pescara, named after Finnish motorcycle racing champion Jarno Saarinen. Competed in Formula 1 from 1997 to 2011, driving for Minardi, Prost, Jordan, Renault, Toyota, and Lotus. Won the 2004 Monaco Grand Prix with Renault, his sole F1 victory. Achieved four pole positions, eleven podiums, and 252 Grand Prix starts across fifteen seasons.

Finished sixth in the 2004 World Drivers' Championship, his best result. Won the 1991 Karting World Championship and 1996 German Formula Three Championship. Renowned for his exceptional qualifying pace, regularly out-qualifying rivals with superior machinery. Known for defensive driving style that earned the term 'Trulli Train' for holding off faster cars. His ability to maximize grid positions made him one of the era's most respected qualifiers.
