Biography

Sir John Young Stewart (June 11, 1939 - Present): A Scottish racing driver, Jackie Stewart is widely regarded as one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time. He won three Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles in 1969, 1971, and 1973. Stewart competed in Formula One from 1965 to 1973, winning 27 Grands Prix and achieving 43 podiums. When he retired, his 27 victories were a record that stood for many years.

Stewart began his F1 career with BRM before joining Tyrrell, where he won all three of his championships. Beyond his on-track achievements, Stewart became a pioneering safety advocate in motorsport, campaigning tirelessly for improved safety standards after witnessing numerous fatal accidents during his career. His efforts eventually led to significant safety improvements in Formula One, including better crash barriers, medical facilities, and circuit design. After retirement, Stewart founded his own team, Stewart Grand Prix, and continued his involvement in motorsport.
