
Peter Whitehead (November 12, 1914 - September 21, 1958): An English racing driver from Menston, West Yorkshire, Whitehead was known for his versatility in both sports car and Formula One racing. He achieved success in endurance racing, notably winning the 1951 24 Hours of Le Mans driving a Jaguar C-Type. Whitehead participated in six Formula One World Championship Grands Prix between 1950 and 1954, securing a podium finish at the 1950 French Grand Prix. He tragically lost his life in a crash during the Tour de France Automobile in 1958.
