
Luigi Fagioli (June 9, 1898 - June 20, 1952): An Italian racing driver from Osimo, Fagioli was one of the top drivers in the 1930s, competing for Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and Mercedes-Benz. He was known for his aggressive driving style and achieved numerous Grand Prix victories. Fagioli joined Alfa Romeo’s Formula One team in 1950 and, at the age of 53, became the oldest driver to win a Formula One Grand Prix, a record he still holds. He died in 1952 from injuries sustained in a crash during a practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix.
