Nello Pagani (October 11, 1911 - October 19, 2003): An Italian motorcycle racer and racing driver from Piacenza, Pagani competed in one Formula One World Championship Grand Prix, the 1950 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Before attempting Formula One, Pagani was more successful in motorcycle racing during the 1930s and 1940s, competing for various Italian manufacturers. His transition to four-wheeled racing came relatively late in his career. Beyond his brief F1 appearance, Pagani continued to be involved in Italian motorsport through team management and car preparation.
He also competed in various sports car races and Italian national events during the 1950s. Living to age 92, Pagani was one of many Italian racers who bridged the gap between pre-war motorcycle racing and the post-war automobile racing boom, contributing to Italy's rich motorsport heritage.
