Biography

Juan Jover (November 23, 1903 - June 28, 1960): A Spanish racing driver from Barcelona, Jover was among the pioneers who competed in the inaugural 1950 Formula One World Championship season. He participated in one World Championship Grand Prix, the 1951 Spanish Grand Prix at Pedralbes circuit in Barcelona, driving a Maserati. Beyond his brief Formula One appearance, Jover was active in Spanish motorsport during the 1940s and 1950s, competing in various national events and hill climbs. As one of Spain's early racing representatives on the international stage, he helped pave the way for future Spanish drivers in Grand Prix racing.

His career reflected the challenging circumstances faced by drivers from countries with limited motorsport infrastructure during the early post-war period, when Formula One was still establishing itself as a truly international championship.
