Al Pease (October 15, 1921 - May 4, 2014): A British-Canadian racing driver, Al Pease is known for having one of the most unusual Formula One careers in history. He participated in only one World Championship Grand Prix, the 1967 Canadian Grand Prix at Mosport Park, where he competed in a four-year-old Eagle. Despite his age (45 at the time) and limited experience at the highest level, Pease had been a successful racer in Canadian motorsport for many years. He was flagged off the race for being too slow, making him one of the few drivers in F1 history to experience this fate.
However, this single race doesn't define his broader contribution to Canadian motorsport, where he was a respected competitor in sports car racing and a significant figure in developing the Canadian racing scene during the 1950s and 1960s.
